The investment to add a Blackwood Acres puppy to your family is $4,000.
Your puppy will be raised on an advanced service and therapy dog curriculum because every dog deserves the best start in life.
Before adoption, your puppy will take a temperament evaluation, where they’ll be evaluated on traits like confidence, energy level, and how much they like to be touched. You will see the scorecards and videos of each puppy in the litter, allowing you to make the best choice for your family.
You will get to watch your puppy grow for the first 8 weeks because this is your family member. Daily photos and videos are added to a private Google Drive album, including bi-weekly photoshoots. You will also receive weekly email updates on the puppies.
After adoption, you will be invited to join our private Facebook community, where you can watch your puppy’s siblings grow up and engage with our Blackwood Acres families.
Your puppy will receive all age-appropriate vaccinations and dewormings. He or she will also be microchipped and will have free lifetime registration for maximum security.
Our licensed vet will provide your puppy with their health clearance prior to adoption. You will also receive your puppy’s health record and report card from their schoolwork. Your contract will include a 2-year health guarantee against congenial health defects.
While you are waiting on your puppy, you will receive a copy of our book, Preparing for Puppyhood, which will help you prepare for your new family member and with training and socialization after adoption. It’s full of checklists, potty training instructions, helpful tips and advice, and crucial life-saving information.
After you take your little one home, you won’t be left hanging. We’ll be available for advice and will always take our puppies back if you need us to.
Your puppy will travel home with a large canvas tote bag of goodies, including a Snuggle Puppy, a small bag of their food, a chew toy, a blankie with the scent of their siblings, and lots of travel accessories to make the trip home easier.
Your puppy will have their own folder of paperwork, which will include their birth certificate, their report card from school, their health records and clearances, and their AKC registration papers.
You will receive a complimentary 30 days of medical insurance through Trupanion, starting the moment you pick up your puppy. There’s no waiting period, so you’re covered from the very beginning, even if you’ve chosen another company for coverage.
